🥳 Mealtime just got a little easier! 🥳

We’re excited to share that Ms. Sarah, one of our Occupational Therapists at our Palm Harbor Location and Ms. Kendal, our speech therapist and clinical director at our Trinity location are now SOS Trained Feeding Therapists! 🎉

The SOS (Sequential-Oral-Sensory) Approach to Feeding is a nationally recognized, evidence-based program that helps children with feeding challenges learn to eat and enjoy a wide variety of foods. The program addresses the whole child, taking into account:

• Sensory processing (how a child experiences textures, smells, and flavors)
• Oral motor skills (chewing, swallowing, and tongue movements)
• Medical history (GI issues, reflux, allergies, etc.)
• Developmental stage and emotional readiness
• Family dynamics and mealtime routines

This program is especially helpful for:

🍎 Picky eaters

🥦 Children with texture sensitivities

🍝 Kids who have difficulty progressing to new foods

🍴 Mealtime anxiety or refusal

Ms. Tori has been a ray of sunshine during her last OT fieldwork at Heart 4 Kids Therapy in Trinity! She has brought so much joy, happiness, and laughter to her kids and families during her time here. Everyone at Heart 4 Kids wishes her nothing but the best in her future endeavors. It has been great watching her grow and flourish into the amazing clinician she is! She will be truly missed by all of us here!
