What a journey. Today we officially close our first awareness and fundraising campaign for .
We are very humbled by all of the support we've received throughout these last 6 months. What started as an idea after both Gilles and Jonas receiving negative news turned into something very positive!
We are very proud to have achieved our mission: raising awareness and funds for rare diseases!
We want to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts who has supported us! Together, we’ve achieved some amazing things:
- 12,000: donations linked to Cycle 4 Rare Diseases for Muscular Dystrophy Association and Het Ventiel two organizations focused on transforming he lives of people living with a rare disease, totaled approximately USD 12,000 😍
The $7,000 we have raised for MDA also makes us the biggest donor this year so far!
- 1,000+: the number of unique visitors from 20+ countries who learned about rare diseases and interacted with our posts through social media and our website www.cycle4rarediseses.org

- 377,000: the average number of reads of the regional newspaper that featured our story.
Besides Nieuwsblad.be we were also featured in the newsletters of Hermosa Beach , BelWest and Belgian Consulate

- 1,400 miles: We cycled over 1,400 miles or 2,000 kilometers in preparation for L’Etape Las Vegas du Tour de France.

- 90: throughout the campaign we received 90 individual donations or an average of approximately USD 125 per donation
