This time we rode in support the great causes of Tour de Palm Springs 2024 🌴
What an amazing event!
Over the last 30 years, they raised over $4,000,000,000 for local organizations (yes, you are reading that correctly, 9!!! zeros). 🤑
Palm Springs in the winter is even more spectacular with snow capped mountains! ❄️
A great event and superb organization!
Vanpoucke Gilles also rode 100km for the first time! 👊👍
Thanks again to our sponsors!

What a journey. Today we officially close our first awareness and fundraising campaign for .
We are very humbled by all of the support we've received throughout these last 6 months. What started as an idea after both Gilles and Jonas receiving negative news turned into something very positive!
We are very proud to have achieved our mission: raising awareness and funds for rare diseases!
We want to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts who has supported us! Together, we’ve achieved some amazing things:

- 12,000: donations linked to Cycle 4 Rare Diseases for Muscular Dystrophy Association and Het Ventiel two organizations focused on transforming he lives of people living with a rare disease, totaled approximately USD 12,000 😍
The $7,000 we have raised for MDA also makes us the biggest donor this year so far!

- 1,000+: the number of unique visitors from 20+ countries who learned about rare diseases and interacted with our posts through social media and our website www.cycle4rarediseses.org
🌐

- 377,000: the average number of reads of the regional newspaper that featured our story.
Besides Nieuwsblad.be we were also featured in the newsletters of Hermosa Beach , BelWest and Belgian Consulate
🇧🇪🇺🇸

- 1,400 miles: We cycled over 1,400 miles or 2,000 kilometers in preparation for L’Etape Las Vegas du Tour de France.
🚲

- 90: throughout the campaign we received 90 individual donations or an average of approximately USD 125 per donation
🌎

- 8: the success of our campaign would not have been possible without the help of our 8 sponsors: UMBROSA , Stijn Vansteenkiste , GVP Global Advisor, Hype O Dream , Deblaere & Vande Maele , Crest Physical Therapy and Wellness , Incress , Kafaet , Renson and Dikke Jan
🤘

- 2: The number ex pro-cyclist we've made during the L'Etape by Tour de France organized by The Tour de France. Great meeting Andy Schleck and Phil Gaimon
🚴‍♂️

Last but not least a big thank you to Lars Rikse for riding with usand coaching us) and take first place in his age category and 6th overall (with a bad knee! 🤕) and to our our wives May and Amber for supporting us during the whole journey and allowing us to go ride so much 🤗❤️
