Residents of Desert Highlands Gateway Estates, a historically Black neighborhood, are once again being pushed out of their community, this time through real estate investors.

Desert Highlands saw an increase in residency after communities of color were forced out of Section 14 housing in the 1960s.

The average price of homes in the area has more than tripled over the last 2 years.

We need more affordable housing, NOT house flipping.

We Lift: The Coachella Valley Housing Catalyst Fund is requesting $15M in the state budget to spur affordable housing development. This one-time investment will jumpstart the production of more than 2,500 shovel-ready affordable housing units over the next 24 months.

We have over 350 petition signatures so far. Can you help us reach our goal of 500?

California continues to have the largest number of children entering the foster care system with over 60,000 children annually. At Olive Crest we are working to lower that number. Through our Safe Families for Children program we are taking steps to preventing children from entering the system.
