For all who are celebrating Labor Day, take a moment to think about the Greatest Laborer of all time. Jesus, after being whipped within a single lash of death, carried His Cross 6 1/2 football fields bleeding out the entire time. A crown of thorns was beaten onto His head, a portion of His beard ripped from His face, all the while being spit upon and tormented from the very people He came to save. Even after being nailed to the Cross, Jesus still continued to minister to the people, even leading a sinner on a cross next to Him to an understanding of the pure and perfect love of God.

Do you labor in vain for to gain the things of this world or do you labor to serve the King of kings, or as Jesus asked the crowds, "What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?" Time to make your labor a labor of love. Jesus told His disciples, "If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and for the gospel will save it."

Far better to celebrate your salvation and ministry than to celebrate how hard you work for the world. Happy Labor Day.

This is my 29th year of sobriety. I can attest that fasting and counseling was the secret of maintaining my commitment to live free from alcohol.

It is a new year. Time for a new you. The staff of BestYOUtx is here to help you set those goals and become the best version of yourself.

Taking online and in-person appointments this week.

We schedule appointments with one of our psychiatrists to meet with the patient for counseling. Having someone else to talk to can be a very effective type of treatment, especially when the professional has the training and experience to assist the patient in working things out.

Great news! Stepping Stones has contracted with a new school so we can continue to provide online tutoring and therapeutic services for your students! While we will not have the physical building for the students to meet with us, we will be able to meet with the kids virtually along with their homeroom teachers. Epic Charter School is a WASC accredited school, will not push questionable agendas, and will give your kids the best possible educational experience they have ever had. The best part is that the enrollment is a piece of cake! These are the directions from the Executive Director, Paul MacGregor:

1. Parent goes to https://epiccalifornia.org/enrolling-at-epic-charter-school/
They can also just go to epiccalifornia.org and click "Admissions".

2. Parent clicks the "Intent to Enroll" button on admissions page

3. Parent completes the basic intent to enroll information.

4. An email is automatically sent to the parent with a link for the enrollment application.

5. Parent completes the online enrollment application. Please be sure to tell them to put your name or Stepping Stones as the referral source on the last page of the enrollment form.

6. A DocuSign email is sent to the parent to upload and sign required enrollment documents.

That's it! Very simple...and once our admissions specialist gets the enrollment application, she can assist with any questions a parent may have regarding the DocuSign or required documents to submit.

We are thrilled that Stepping Stones can still be a part of your child's life virtually. Mr. MacGregor understands our program, the needs of our kids, and is excited to ensure your child's academic success.
