Research has proven that regular engagement in recreation can alleviate mental and physical stress and contribute to overall life satisfaction.

To help address the gap in access to leisure participation for individuals in rural areas, the occupational therapy, equine studies, and agriculture departments at Wilmington College - Ohio collaborated to create an on-campus therapeutic riding camp to promote the leisure occupation of horseback riding.
