What’s your favorite injury/concern to treat?
➡️"Back Pain. No matter the cause or the type of back pain, it affects every type of movement we do. I love helping people get out of back pain, teaching them how to move to eliminate the pain, and build strength and mobility so it doesn't stop you from doing anything. Watching someone go from fear of movement to confidence with things they used to think were heavy and painful is one of the most rewarding things I do."

What’s your favorite part of being a PT?
➡️"Watching people transform their bodies and minds from fearful and fragile to confident and resilient. Nothing fires me up more than taking someone from pain and helping them feel strong and powerful again. No matter the body part or your age, we can guide you to heal your body and regain the feeling of freedom with movement again."

What "Alaskan" hobbies do you have that help you to stay active?
➡️"All the things that make me happiest are activities that feel like play. As an adult with lots of responsibilities, it's hard to find that feeling sometimes. But having a strong and capable body is necessary to play. Whether that's downhill skiing, running around the Valley, hiking up steep mountainsides, reeling in a big fish, or tossing a frisbee with the dog, I want to always feel ready to play. I train so I will always be able to run, jump, throw, lift, or carry whatever I get into."

➡️“I enjoy treating active individuals who want to get back to doing what they love - lifting, hiking, running, or just keeping up with daily life, without limitations. I also enjoy working with pregnant and postpartum women!”

What’s your favorite part of being a PT?
➡️“I love the ability to provide a positive, supportive environment for individuals to grow and improve, while rehabbing an injury. We value meeting a patient where they are upon arrival and working alongside them to address multiple aspects of their health and wellness.”

➡️“To stay active in AK, I enjoy hiking, skiing (downhill and cross country), getting outside in the sunshine with my husband and dog, fishing and CrossFit or other resistance training.”

SLEEP - Our bodies and brains recover during sleep. We all know how we feel after a poor nights sleep. If this becomes a habit, our health will suffer. Improving your sleep will improve every aspect of your life. Lets prioritize it!

Nutrition - We are what we eat. Whether you want to lose weight, gain muscle, fight disease, or just feel better, this is where you should start. Today, we came together to honor veterans. We completed CHAD 1000X to pay our respects US Navy SEAL and hero, Chad Wilkinson. Many veterans and service members suffer in silence from invisible wounds.

The Step Up Foundation and CHAD 1000X bring awareness to the epidemic of su***de among veterans and help to be a part of the solution by raising awareness for su***de prevention.
