Are you ready for the much-hyped NFL draft tonight? 🎉🏈🎉 Everyone deserves a front-row seat, according to one Pittsburgh Library. This library is getting more folks in on the action by creating 3D models displaying some of the top picks’ features.

Most people will watch the NFL draft in person or on TV. Unfortunately, some can’t. That’s where the Library of Accessible Media for Pennsylvanians at Carnegie Library stepped up.

Matthew Shifrin makes Lego instructions accessible! So far, his nonprofit has created instructions for more than 540 Lego sets, ranging from a 100-piece car to a 4,000-piece bridge.

Because he was blind, Matthew Shifrin had to rely on friends and family to help him complete his creations — sometimes bribing them with tea to get them to come by his house.

Congratulations, Lea!!! 🎉🎉🎉 Blinded Veterans Association officially has a new Executive Director! She had been serving in the dual role of Interim National Executive Director for the past four months and the National Legislative Director since January 2025.

We are excited to announce Lea Rowe as our new Executive Director! Lea brings 21 years of experience in nonprofit management to the position and has a deep passion for serving the blind and low vision community. She is committed to advocating for the needs of blind and low vision veterans.
