📅 A February Recap Filled with Love, Laughter, and Community! ❤️

Our monthly LV Quiz Game Show kept everyone on the edge of their seats as the Women’s Bible Study faced off against the Men’s Bible Study. The score stayed incredibly close all hour long — and in a thrilling finish, both teams answered the final question correctly! It all came down to their wager… and the Women clinched the win by betting it all! 🎉 The audience erupted in laughter.

Residents also enjoyed fun “commercial breaks,” including the hilarious Valentine Comedy skit by our Village Players. Mr. Suave handed out valentines to every lady because he couldn’t choose just one — until Cupid swooped in (fashionably dressed from the Village Boutique) to spread a little extra love. 💘

We closed out the month with our heartwarming Valentine Social, complete with a delicious tiramisu dessert crafted by Dining Services, beautifully packaged iced cookies, and table games that sparked joy and connection. The night wrapped up with an incredible performance by , whose harmonies filled the room with energy and elegance.

Staff from our Housekeeping, Therapeutic Recreation, and Nursing departments have officially completed the Penn State Dementia Care Force Training Program!

At Londonderry Village, we believe caring for elders living with dementia is a responsibility shared by our entire community — not just one department. By investing in specialized education and hands-on training, our team is strengthening their skills in communication, understanding behaviors, and creating meaningful moments of connection.

This achievement reflects our ongoing commitment to providing the highest-quality, compassionate care to those we serve. We’re honored to walk alongside our residents and families every day — and incredibly proud of our staff for continuing to grow, learn, and lead in dementia care excellence. 💛

To celebrate Valentine’s Day, we treated our amazing team to something sweet with the Lancaster Cupcake Truck right here on campus. Staff stopped by and enjoyed a delicious cupcake as a small thank-you for the big difference they make every single day. Lancaster Cupcake

From Nursing to Dining, Housekeeping to Administration, and every department in between — we are so grateful for the heart, dedication, and compassion our employees bring to our residents and to one another. ❤️

And speaking of heart… a special shoutout to our incredible LV Grounds Team for creating the beautiful colored hearts in the snow! 💜🩷 Your creativity and attention to detail made today even more festive and fun.

We’re proud to share that Londonderry Village has once again completed our Annual Department of Health Survey with outstanding results. This unannounced, statewide review examines every aspect of resident care, safety, staffing, dining services, and overall quality — and receiving zero deficiencies is one of the highest marks a community can achieve.

This accomplishment reflects the professionalism, teamwork, and unwavering commitment to quality and compliance that define our campus. Achievements like this don’t happen by chance; they come from consistent dedication and attention to detail in every department, every day.

Thank you to our incredible team, our residents, their families, and our entire community of supporters for helping us uphold the highest standards of care and service.

As the world cheers on the Winter Olympics, we’re celebrating the everyday moments of joy, engagement, and community right here at Londonderry Village.

Our Wish List highlights items that fall outside of our annual operating budget — things identified by our staff that truly enhance care, comfort, and daily wellbeing across campus. ❄️ Snowy weekends in PA… without the stress! ❄️
At Londonderry Village, winter weather looks a little different — because when the snow starts falling, our residents can stay warm, safe, and comfortable indoors while our maintenance team handles all the hard work.

From early-morning plowing to continuous walkway clearing, our staff makes sure every path is safe and accessible. This isn’t just a convenience — it’s peace of mind. Snow removal can pose serious risks for older adults, including slips, falls, back strain, and injuries from overexertion. Here, those worries disappear. Residents never have to shovel, salt, or navigate icy driveways on their own. ❄️💙

And through every kind of weather, our nursing, dining, and support staff remain on campus, ready to assist residents however they’re needed. Their dedication ensures that care doesn’t pause for a snowstorm — our team shows up, always.
