Our thanks to each & everyone of you for your support during our nearly 10 years! It couldnt have been successful without you! Val’s Pals is a 501c3 Not for Profit Organization that offers fabulous totes to the caregivers of cancer patients at no charge to anyone. There are fundraising events 2-3 times year along with very generous community donations. Caregiver Totes are created through the love and carefully handpicked items that go in these bags for the CAREGIVER. It is our hope to continue distributing through organizations such as Hospitals, Infusion Centers, Cancer Centers, Hospice Centers and other local organizations. A Vision Is Realized

Val’s Pals is a 501c3 non-profit organization and is the brain child of Madonna Schmidt Watters. Madonna’a family has experienced a great deal of heartache from cancer in her immediate family. Vals’s Pals is in honor of one of her sister, Valerie Schmidt Cauwels, who lost her battle with breast cancer in November of 2016.

When finally reeling in the grief and pity for herself after losing her sister Val, she wanted to do something in tribute to not only Val, but all of her sisters. Madonna along with other family members spent many hours at her bedside, watching the stages of death take her frail body. She realized that there are many people who are touched by someone with cancer....either someone who has been in remission, lost their fight to cancer or just starting their courageous battle. Being a caregiver of someone battling cancer can entail many hours of solitude that passes slowly and painfully. However, being a Caregiver is of great importance! The CAREGIVERS are “the UNSUNG HERO”

With that vision in mind, Madonna surrounded herself with like minded individuals, many who have lost loved ones to cancer. This group continually works to raise funds to provide the VAL’s Pals totes to the CAREGIVERS of Cancer Patients.
