Reducing time in the treatment room can help improve both patient comfort and workflow efficiency. Precision, comfort and confidence are key factors shaping the patient experience, and every improvement matters.

Turning this vision into reality starts here: SainteCatherine, Institut du Cancer - AvignonProvence leads the way as the first center in Europe to implement the full Halcyon 5.0 ecosystem. With advanced real-time motion management, high-quality embedded imaging, and smoother, more precise patient positioning, these advancements support more personalized treatment delivery while helping clinical teams work with greater ease and confidence.

This milestone reflects a shared commitment to making radiotherapy not only more precise, but also more human by improving the experience for patients and supporting the clinicians who care for them.

Varian and Telix have announced a strategic clinical collaboration to develop new clinical applications that combine Telix’s theranostic products with external beam radiation therapy (EBRT).

The initial investigational focus is PSMA-PET imaging for prostate cancer radiotherapy patients. Telix and Varian will assess how Illuccix® and Gozellix® may support patient selection for EBRT, inform personalized treatment planning, and monitor response to treatment.

The collaboration also creates a framework for broader future co-development across Telix’s pipeline, including TLX250-CDx (Zircaix®) and TLX01-CDx (Pixclara®). By combining radiopharmaceuticals with EBRT, the companies aim to support radiation oncologists in delivering more precise, targeted cancer care.

Stereotactic spinal radiosurgery is already delivering powerful results—but what if it could be even faster, more precise, and easier to plan?

A new study from 台大醫院 National Taiwan University Hospital Cancer Center comparing conventional VMAT with RapidArc Dynamic* in a cohort of ten cervical spine metastasis patients, researchers uncovered significant improvements in both modulation and efficiency with RapidArc Dynamic.

✅ Sharper dose fall-off and enhanced conformity
✅ 30% fewer monitor units for faster treatment
✅ 80% shorter planning time
✅ A general, though statistically non-significant, reduction in dose to normal tissues

RapidArc Dynamic streamlines the entire process—with the goal of enhancing outcomes for patients while optimizing workflows for clinicians.

💡SGRT Spotlight🔦

Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT) treats about 30 patients a day for all kinds of tumors and cancer cells, using advanced treatment technologies that include Varian Edge, RapidArc, Eclipse, and IDENTIFY.

In this case study, https://bit.ly/3KfdacD uncover how IDENTIFY for surface-guided radiation therapy (SGRT) has helped Dr. Desjardin, Dr. Puranik, and Dr. Luo and their team:
🔸Move to tattooless treatments after just two cases, improving patient comfort and clinical efficiency
🔸Establish an expanding lung SBRT treatment program due to confidence in IDENTIFY setup and motion management accuracy
🔸Switch to weekly MV portal images to reduce imaging dose to patients
🔸Simplify patient setup for complex cases, including electron treatments and SRS
🔸Reduce treatment times, allowing the clinic to treat more patients daily and respond to growing radiotherapy needs within the community

For clinicians looking to improve patient outcomes, training on the latest technological advancements across planning, contouring, and treatment is vital.

This spotlights progress in India, where Varian partnered with the Association of Radiation Oncologists of India (AROI-WB), to host breast cancer treatment workshops, teaching clinicians how to refine contouring and VMAT planning through evidence-based guidelines. By applying these learnings and developing new practice patterns, the teams hope to enable more precise target coverage and lessen morbidity.

Workshops like these empower local providers to fully leverage advanced tech—closing the gap between access and impact. They are more than events—they’re catalysts for sustainable change.

💡SGRT Spotlight🔦

The Izmir Tinaztepe Galen Hospital's radiation oncology clinic was one of the first centers in the world to integrate IDENTIFY into its workflows and is a Varian reference training center. Today, they treat most tumor sites, including breast, lung, prostate, and head and neck using their Varian TrueBeam.

In this case study https://bit.ly/3X01qxx, uncover how IDENTIFY for surface-guided radiation therapy (SGRT) has helped Dr. Oguzhan and his team:
🔸 Transition to tattooless treatments, enhancing set-up efficiency and patient experience
🔸 Treat with increased confidence through automated beam-hold functionality
🔸 Reduce overall set-up time by 23%
🔸 Decrease couch displacement during IGRT by 37% compared to conventional methods
