Annie Rubin Nutrition Bay Area Dietitian helping clients manage their autoimmune and inflammatory conditions with diet and lifestyle.

Are you struggling with symptoms caused by an underlying inflammatory and autoimmune condition? Do you experience pain, fatigue or digestive challenges? Are you finding that your quality of life just isn’t what it used to be? Inflammatory and autoimmune conditions can be extremely challenging, and unfortunately adjusting your diet is usually not part of the “typical” treatment plan. In my work with clients struggling with autoimmune or inflammatory disorders, I help them implement a personalized nutrition roadmap designed to improve mobility, concentration and energy levels to ultimately live a vibrant and fulfilling life.

Nutrient density is the cornerstone of anti-inflammatory eating.
The actual term nutrient density is a comparison between the amount of beneficial nutrients to the number of calories a food contains. The more nutrients per calories, the more nutrient dense a food is.
But why does this matter when it comes to eating for autoimmune diseases? Let’s dive into this more.

There are so many different ways to eat that it is sometimes exhausting just thinking about it.
While different eating patterns can get really complicated, the baseline of any good eating pattern is one that I consider to be “well rounded”.
However, in order for any eating pattern to be effective, my clients need to know HOW to create and implement their specific diets. Today I’m going to not only cover what a “well rounded” diet is, but I’m going to explain how to eat this way.

This is one of my favorite Modified AIP lunches to take with me when I'm on the go.
Green soup:
- Steam 1 large bunch of broccoli, 1 bunch of cilantro and 1 bunch of a leafy green (kale or spinach work well) for about 8 minutes until soft.
- Blend veggies with bone broth, 1/4 cup EVOO, 1/2 avocado and salt
(And that's literally it!!)🥦🥑
I like eating the soup with h**p seeds and a side of protein. Put it in a thermos and you've got a super filling meal!

The Modified AIP (AIP stands for Autoimmune Protocol) is an elimination diet that targets inflammation. 🔥🔥
It is a fan favorite within the autoimmune space because of its effectiveness. Additionally, the modified version is much easier to stick with than the original, or Core, AIP.
Is this elimination diet for you? Watch to find out 👀👀
