Some babies come out and latch no problem. While others come out with a more tricky approach. This little guy had a tongue tie which made it difficult to feed and latch properly which resulted in bloody and sore ni***es for mama. After some advocating for a different approach we were able to syringe feed baby with provided formula. There was no judgment. No stress. No tears. It was even a special moment for dad to take over and feel needed. Feeding comes in all shapes and sizes in the newborn world. But with a lactation doula there to help you are never alone or left to feel helpless.

Having a postpartum doula is like having a magical fairy godmother who waves her wand and has the house cleaned, meals ready, baby soothed and family members taken care of all while you just woke up from a 3 hour nap in peace. Sounds like something you would benefit from? I’m here with ample wands for ya 🧚‍♀️
