The undergraduate psychology program assists students in developing the theoretical insight and professional skills that enable them to enter graduate study and to serve in a variety of psychology-related careers and professions. The program involves the student in learning the principles of the humanistic, biological, behavioral, cognitive, and psychoanalytic approaches to psychology. The purpose of the program is to develop students equipped with psychological insight informed by a biblically-based Christian perspective. The graduate program in counseling offers rigorous academic and professional training in counseling, combining theory, empirical research, and practical experience. Grounded in a Christian perspective, the program teaches about the integration of Christian faith and counseling practice, and seeks to address the spiritual core of human life as responsive to God. The program welcomes students of all faith traditions and emphasizes the formation of the whole person in the training of each student answering God’s call to bring healing and restoration.
