Funeral services for Mark William Kramer will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at the Garfield-Palouse High School gym with vault interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Palouse. A reception will follow the graveside service back at the school. Viewing will be held at Kramer Funeral Home in Palouse on Friday, May 8 from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., with the family present to greet guests starting at 4:00 that afternoon. Mr. Kramer, 76, a lifelong resident of Whitman County, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2026 following a short but valiant battle with a very aggressive form of cancer.

We are sad to announce that Mark W. Kramer, 76, lifetime Whitman County resident and funeral director, passed away last evening, April 17, 2026, surrounded by family. He fought a valliant battle against a very aggressive form of cancer these last few months. Service details are pending and will be announced in the coming days.

While our family has always been available to answer calls for service when we're needed, starting today through the foreseeable future, we will be unable to serve other families faced with a loss, except for those families who already have loved ones in our care.

We recommend Corbeill Funeral Homes in both Pullman and Colfax, Short's Funeral Chapel in Moscow, or Hodge Funeral Home in St. Maries to care for you should your family be facing a loss. They are all excellent funeral directors and personal friends, and we know those who have relied on our family to get them through difficult days will be well served by their family owned funeral homes.

We love this community and we will be back to serving families again. However, at this time, we ask for privacy as we navigate life without our husband, father, brother, friend and a man who has been the Palouse community's rock as a funeral director for over 50 years.

Thank you for your understanding, and for the love you have all shown us over the years.
