👀 Fireworks Eye Safety Tips
• Always wear protective safety glasses or goggles when lighting or watching fireworks up close.
• Keep a safe distance — spectators should stay well back, and only designated adults should light fireworks.
• Never look directly over a firework when lighting it.
• Never try to relight a dud — wait 20 minutes, then soak it in water.
• Never use homemade fireworks — they can be unpredictable and cause serious eye injuries.
• Keep kids away from sparklers — they burn at 1,200–2,000°F and can easily cause eye burns.
• Do not throw fireworks or aim them at people or animals.
• Do not use fireworks while under the influence of alcohol or drugs — impaired judgment increases the risk of eye injuries.

👁️ If an Eye Injury Occurs:
• Do not rub, rinse, or apply pressure to the injured eye.
• Do not try to remove any object stuck in the eye.
• Cover the eye with a rigid shield (like the bottom of a paper cup) — do not press on the eye.
• Seek emergency medical care immediately — fireworks injuries can cause permanent vision loss.

Abby is highly skilled at managing the day-to-day operations of our office. She prides herself on making every interaction smooth, efficient, and, most importantly, friendly. Whether answering calls or helping with appointments, Abby’s smile and upbeat attitude ensure you feel taken care of from start to finish.

Originally from Ohio, Abby loves trying new things, whether it’s exploring a new activity or finding fresh ways to stay active. Outside of her role at The Eye Studio, Abby is a proud mom to a little boy. She enjoys working out, shooting hoops, and spending time with friends at the beach. Her adventurous spirit and go-getter attitude shine through in everything she does.

Three years ago, we opened our doors with a vision to redefine eye care by offering a unique experience in our relaxing, modern office environment.

Since then, we’ve continued to grow in both expertise and services. Our dry eye specialty has expanded to include cutting-edge treatments like IPL and LLLT. Well, I didn’t think I would still be having snow days after moving to Florida but it looks like we have some inclement weather coming to the area! ❄️❄️❄️

To ensure the safety of our staff and our patients, we will be closing at noon on Tuesday (1/21) and be closed all day on Wednesday (1/22). We will reopen on Thursday (1/23) for regular hours.
