This month, Access Point Healthcare is launching Women’s Imaging — so you can get screenings where you already receive primary care. 🎗️🩷

Why it matters: Breast cancer and osteoporosis affect many women. Early detection can mean better outcomes. Get screened during your annual wellness visit, in-office with the same caring primary care team you trust.

I was raised in Panama City and after graduating from Medical School I wanted to come home and give back to the community that truly helped me become who I am today. Not just in my practice giving great medical care but in any capacity to those who are in need. I want to see the next generation including my children succeed and that true success can only come when we help one another. Thank you Cedar Grove Elementary School and Principal Boyette for allowing me to be apart of something much more rewarding than I do right now.

MEDICAL ASSISTANT (MA) RESPONSIBILITIES

Clinical Duties (may include, but not limited to):
•Taking medical histories
•Explaining treatment procedures to patients
•Triaging patients
•Preparing patients for examinations
•Assisting the physician during examinations
•Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens
•Performing basic laboratory tests
•Instructing patients about medication and special diets
•Preparing and administering medications, including by intramuscular, intradermal, and subcutaneous injections—including vaccinations/immunizations, as directed by a physician or other licensed provider (e.g., a nurse practitioner or physician assistant)
•Transmitting prescription refills as directed
•Phlebotomy
•Taking electrocardiograms
•Wound care and changing dressings

Administrative Duties (may include, but not limited to):
•Using computer applications
•Answering telephones
•Welcoming patients
•Updating and filing patient medical records
•Scheduling appointments
