The holiday season is here, and many of us are eager to hang lights and decorate the tree — but safety comes first! Each year nearly 15,000 decorating-related injuries occur, with falls being the most common.

Here are a few quick tips to keep your holidays safe and bright:

• Don’t decorate alone — always have someone hold the ladder.

Many of you have graciously asked about ways to donate in memory of Loulette “Luli” Flynn. As many of you know, she had a deep love for her dogs—Amber and Bella—and her grand-dog, Luna. Mrs. Flynn was also a loyal client of Topix Salon here in Panama City and proudly supported their annual GingerParent charity event. Named after the gingerbread men, this heartwarming program focuses on bringing holiday cheer to elderly residents in assisted living communities.
