Through our membership with Bay County Chamber of Commerce we have been paired with Parker Elementary School. We will be doing a clothing drive the month of September. All month long bring in new or gently used clothing (no stains, holes). Every time you donate you will be entered to win a facial. Beat the heat. Let your neighbors know!

In anticipation of temperatures above 95 and a heat index of above 108 degrees on Friday and Saturday, Bay County Emergency Management, the Red Cross and the American Legion will open a “cooling center” from noon to 5 p.m. Aug. 18-19 at the Central Panhandle Fair in Bay County, located at 2230 15th St., Panama City.

Water and air conditioning will be available to anyone who may need a few hours’ respite from the outdoors. For more information contact 211. Transportation is available through Bayway Transit by calling (850) 215-7226, (850) 215-0607 or using Route 3.
