Our Story

Dr. Johns got his start growing up in a small town in north central Florida. He has always had an interest in health and wellness. With this in mind he pursued an undergraduate and masters degree in nursing. Once he discovered osteopathic medicine, he was sold. This led to NovaSoutheastern University in south Florida where he spent four years at the school of Osteopathic Medicine. He continued his studies at St. Vincent’s Family Medicine Residency Program in Jacksonville Fl. After three years of study in Jacksonville, he moved to California and pursued an additional year of training in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. His work experience continued in Oregon where he joined a collaborative health based medical practice. At Samaritan Heartspring Wellness Center, he worked along side medical doctors, osteopaths, acupuncturists, naturopaths and massage therapists in a team based approach to keep patients healthy. He learned functional medicine and furthered his knowledge of nutrition. During this time he also taught family medicine residents.

Even though the pacific northwest is a great place to live and explore, Dr. Johns missed his family and home state of Fl. He then moved to southwest Fl and spent over three years working with Lee Health in the urgent care setting. He has now moved to Panama City Fl to call Bay County home. His goal is to bring Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine to there area and provide a much needed wellness focused service to the community.
