Cardiac Electrophysiologist, Dr. Nghia Hoang is always working to bring the very latest technology to local patients. He was the first in our region, from Jacksonville to Mobile, to implant the world’s smallest defibrillation lead this week at HCA Gulf Coast Regional Medical Center. This tiny device from Medtronic, the OmniaSecure, can be placed via catheter for pacing, sensing, cardioversion, and defibrillation therapies, with its very small size reducing the risk of complications.
