🌡️ When is a fever an emergency?

Fevers can be scary, but knowing when to call can bring peace of mind. 💛

👶 Under 3 months: Call immediately at 100.4°F or higher
👶 3–12 months: Call at 102°F or higher
👧 1 year & older: Call at 104°F or higher

Remember, how your child looks and acts matters just as much as the number on the thermometer. If they’re difficult to wake, not drinking fluids, having trouble breathing, or you’re simply unsure… trust your instincts and give us a call at (850) 257-5524.

We’re here to help you navigate sick days with confidence. 🌈

Lip & Tongue Ties: 3 Things They Can Affect

Lip and tongue ties can impact more than you might expect. If untreated, they may affect:
👶 1. Feeding
Difficulty latching, prolonged feeds, clicking sounds, or poor weight gain.
😴 2. Comfort & Sleep
Excessive gas, reflux-like symptoms, or fussiness during and after feeds.
🗣️ 3. Oral Development & Speech
Restricted movement can affect oral motor development and, in some cases, speech as children grow.

At Rainbow Pediatrics, we offer safe laser frenectomy treatment when appropriate, along with guidance and support every step of the way. 🌈💛
If you have concerns, schedule a visit and let’s talk.
