⭐️⭐️ Success Story ⭐️⭐️
Disability Resource Center was able to purchase materials for a ramp for a disabled consumer who didn't have access to community involvement. The funds for these materials were given to DRC by community grants from local businesses.
With the help of 516 Project Ministry and their hard work in building the ramp, we gave this consumer access to greater independence! We are so happy to partner with wonderful community agencies like 516 Project Ministry who dedicate their time and hard work to making sure no one in the community is left behind. We look forward to working with them again on other ramp builds, coming soon! (Photos used with permission)

Every day, people with disabilities in our community face barriers that limit their opportunities — but together, we can change that.
Everyone deserves the chance to live how they want, to work if they can and want to, and to dream without barriers.

DRC serves the disabled population in Bay, Washington, Holmes, Jackson, Calhoun, Gulf, Liberty, and Franklin counties. It is our goal to make sure all our consumers are living their lives how they want through independence with dignity, but DRC needs your help❗️

🟦We have set up a new donation site through PayPal to accept donations to aide our journey in creating independent living for our consumers. Your donations will help fund the building of ramps, obtaining more accessible DME, purchasing materials for independent living skills classes, purchasing materials for support groups, and so much more.
You have the option of donating just one-time, monthly, or yearly and you can donate whatever amount you want. Anything helps!

🔆🔆 Just scan the QR code on the flyer or visit: https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=5L32F94KL4EXG

We sincerely appreciate all donations, and we thank you for helping the disabled population in their journey to independence. ❤️

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Shout-out of the week ⭐️⭐️⭐️
This week's shout-out goes to Walmart Supercenter Panama City for providing a grant to our office to aide in helping the disabled community.
With this grant money, DRC will be able to purchase supplies to build accessible ramps for those in need, giving consumers more independence and access to community inclusion.

Who We Are

The Disability Resource Center (DRC) is an organization that works to promote Independent Living for and by individuals with disabilities; to enable them to take control of their lives; to make decisions about themselves and their future; to ensure the necessary support services are available to enable them to be active participants in their communities; and to prevent unnecessary institutionalization.
