Harrison Avenue is finally OPEN — start to finish!
And for Southern Skin & Electrology, this moment means more than most people will ever know.
When we opened our doors at 25 Harrison Avenue on January 3, 2021, demolition on the first block of Harrison started that very same day. For almost 5 years, we’ve lived through every phase of construction — the dust, the noise, the blocked sidewalks, the ever-changing walkways… we truly saw it all.
For the first 8 months, clients couldn’t even walk through our front door. We asked you to park behind the building and enter through the back — straight into our laundry room and break room. Definitely not the first impression we dreamed of, but it was all we had. And you showed up anyway… with patience, grace, and so much support.
And somehow, in the middle of the chaos, about 6 months in, Josh and I decided to expand into the building next door, doubling our space while still not having a front entrance. Wild, looking back — but worth every moment.
Today, as Harrison Avenue fully reopens, we want to say this with full hearts:
We will never be able to fully express our gratitude to each and every person who has supported us over the last 5 years.
Because of you, our family-run business now employs over 30 incredible team members right here in Downtown Panama City. Because of you, we kept going when it wasn’t easy. Because of you, we made it.
It hasn’t been pretty — but we’re here. We made it. And we are more excited than ever about what the future holds for Southern Skin & Electrology and for Downtown Panama City.
Here’s to new beginnings, a fully open Harrison Avenue, and the community that carried us through every step.
