Spotlight Sunday is very special this week, because my “first baby”, Gulf Coast Autism Clinic, is 5️⃣ years old! 🎉🥳 To celebrate, we were a part of a car for a cause with Joey Gase Racing team in the xfinity race series. Spreading Autism support and awareness wherever we can!

On this spotlight Sunday, I’d like to bring awareness to the importance of our community partners! My school was thrilled to have our local sheriff’s department come out and interact with our students for “Touch a Truck Week”! Positive interactions with first responders is an important social learning experience for all kids!

This is something as a mom of a toddler that I struggle with, but I’m trying to make conscious decisions to change unwanted behaviors wisely!

Here’s an example:
Instead of saying “stop running”, I’m changing it to “show me how we walk”! This small change of words indicates the behavior I want my child to do, instead of giving attention for a behavior I don’t want to see.
