Avicenna was founded by a group of dedicated health care professionals and staff concerned about the health and welfare of all the residents of Bay County. Services are offered primarily by volunteers providing comprehensive and dependable health care in a caring environment. Avicenna Clinic was established by the Islamic Understanding Institute of Panama City, Florida, also known as IUI. Dedicate

d to providing quality health care for the uninsured of Bay County, the first charitable clinic led by Muslim physicians opened its doors, and by the end of the first year our physicians had seen and treated over 1,000 patients.
