Sleep Disorder Center of Panama City is looking for a full time certified medical assistant to work at both the Sleep disorders clinic and our pulmonary clinic. We do a half clinic at both locations per day and this will average out to a full time position. The hours of this position will be Monday through Thursday 8:00am – 4:30pm and Friday 8:00am- 12:00pm.
Duties and responsibilities would include:
• Take patient histories, perform vital signs and record information in EMR system
• Prepare patients for procedures
• Maintain appropriate lab logs
• Clean and maintain examination and treatment rooms daily
• Manage equipment and supply inventory
• Serve as a liaison between physicians and patients
• Copy and mail requests for medical records ensuring HIPAA compliance
• Function as a team member, including providing backup when needed during busy clinic hours
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

We are a growing medical practice in the beautiful St. Andrews area of Panama city seeking candidates who have exceptional customer service skills to greet, check in and assist our patients. We pride ourselves on our patient care and expedience.
Duties and responsibilities would include:
• Greeting patients
• Checking in/out
• Collecting co-pays and balances
• Booking future appointments
• Following up on no-show appointments and rescheduling
• Making sure waiting rooms / bathroom areas are presentable
• Assisting patients with any booking or payment questions
• Answering multiline phones and directing calls as needed
• Printing copies
• Mailing out appropriate paperwork either via USPS, fax or email

Experience:

• Candidate must be able to handle multi-line phone system and transfer calls appropriately

• Medical office experience is a must
