Meet Dr. Naima Naser Chowdhury, a Family Medicine resident (PGY-1).

Born and raised in Chittagong, Bangladesh, Dr. Chowdhury’s passion for medicine began early and grew as she witnessed the challenges of healthcare disparities, such as limited access, affordability, and cultural barriers. She earned her medical degree from Chittagong Medical College before moving to the United States, where she worked as a medical assistant at SSM St. Mary’s Hospital outpatient clinic. These experiences deepened her commitment to evidence-based, holistic, patient-centered care.

Dr. Chowdhury is especially passionate about family medicine, geriatric care, and women’s health. Known for her empathy and active listening, she values building long-term relationships with patients and promoting preventive health across diverse communities.

Outside of medicine, she enjoys hiking, exploring cuisines, and traveling with her family. We are excited to have Dr. Chowdhury bring her passion and perspective to Mission Community Hospital.
