“Compassionate Healthcare, Quality Healthcare” Mission Community Hospital represents the union of two hospitals, each with a proud history.

Panorama City Hospital founded in the sixties and San Fernando Community Hospital Founded in the twenties as the first hospital in the San Fernando Valley. Today, the hospitals are one and provide healthcare services to many of the communities in the San Fernando Valley and greater Los Angeles County. Mission Community Hospital, a 145-bed community hospital, operates its Acute Care and Behavioral Health Services from its campus in Panorama City while San Fernando is home for our new Mission Community Hospital’s San Fernando Community Campus for Health and Education. Each campus is unique and offers a vast array of health services for those in need. Our mission, “compassionate healthcare, quality healthcare” guides our round-the-clock services. We provide exceptional treatment in our Emergency Room, Medical/Surgical Services and our Intensive Care Unit. Mission Community Hospital’s 60-bed Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit is one of the largest units in Los Angeles and is an important resource for the Los Angeles County network of providers. Danial brings a thoughtful, community-centered approach to psychiatry. Born and raised in Los Angeles, he began his path in exercise physiology before attending St. George’s University School of Medicine. His passion lies in breaking mental health stigmas, especially within immigrant communities, so children and adolescents feel safe seeking support.

Fluent in English, Farsi, and Kurdish, Danial is also studying Spanish and Arabic, often learning new phrases from patients and colleagues to better connect with those he serves. He views language as a bridge to healing.

In his free time, you’ll find him writing poetry, walking along the beach, or exploring the intersection of mental health and movement through group fitness and architectural design.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Michael’s path to psychiatry was guided by a deep desire to understand and support those facing mental health challenges. After earning his Psychology degree from UC San Diego, he volunteered with a su***de prevention hotline and participated in Alzheimer’s research, experiences that deepened his commitment to compassionate care.

He went on to study medicine at NYITCOM in Arkansas, where he expanded his knowledge of psychiatric treatment and its impact across diverse populations. Today, he brings that dedication back to Southern California.

Outside of medicine, Michael enjoys traveling, spending time with loved ones, and snowboarding whenever winter calls.
