So I stand corrected! It was My DOT Wild hive 3 that is really doing a fast job of things!! I gathered these out of a tree at Chris and Paula Yates home in Wyandotte Co. on April 11th… I left them in their new deep box home in my apiary with 4 clean frames to start building on, so that’s Crazy! They have built comb, honey, lots of brood and more on those 4 plus the 2 crazy out of frame combs!! I had no idea they could build that fast!
So on the lid and the protective top today for inspection, they had built from that liner top to bottom of the deep in 2 spots where I didn’t have frames… 😫 that’s only from April 11 and this is April 28th Wow!

So I cut the comb out, rubberbanded it into two open frames and added the rest of the empty frames to make my 10.. Wow!

Sorry bees… I’m learning… but you have the rest of the frames now.. 😂 so.. get her done.. 😁🤠🐝

All hives are super active tonight. I stayed a distance as they seem to be all pretty active and I had 1 give me the dive bomb and hit me.. but no sting!

I’m anxious to get in each of them and see how things are going but I’m going to give them until the end of the week .. 🐝✅👀

I seen a few small hive beetles on one of the hives we moved last night, what does everyone use to treat them?

Yesterday I planted some peppermint plants neighbor Sheila gave me. Looks like we might get some rain and that should make them happy!

It should help calm the cowgirl honey bees we moved last night down into the Apiary yard too.

Yikes! We checked in the bees we moved and they are aggressively unhappy! 🐝😳

Several that didn’t get in the hive late last night before we moved them were hanging out in the old location

I put a new deep and will see if I can gather the rest of them up today 😁
