I forgot to announce that I recently ventured back into the world of crafting my own custom beard oils. This was a personalized set that I gifted to my friends Ben & Skylar over at Legacy Barbershop.

I am working on what premade blends to have in my shop (suggestion always welcome!) but that will come at a later date. These three include Ben (Cypress, Sweet Orange, and Juniper Berry), Legacy (Clove, Cinnamon, Rosemary, Lemon, Eucalyptus), and Skylar (Patchouli, Lime, and Bergamot). I used a combination of jojoba oil, coconut oil, h**p seed oil, and vitamin E on top of that along with the essential oils. I can make them in both 1oz & 2oz sizes, for $10 or $15 respectively. These are the 2oz featured here.

I will also be getting back to making beard balms & mountain man hand salves with coordinating oil blends. Custom soaps as well. As you may know, I am a plant witch & working with such things is a passion project of mine. If you feel that you need something more tailor made to your skin type (acne, eczema, etc), you can simply send me a message & I can give you a free consultation regarding the benefits or contraindications of specific oils.

I will eventually open back up my Etsy shop, however I am going to solely operate on Facebook & Instagram for the time being. As always, thank you for supporting a local business!

Tonight's double feature!

On top, our natural hand salve. Made with only three ingredients + our essential oil blends.

SHEA BUTTER- This restores the barrier between your skin and the outside environment, holding moisture in and reducing your risk of dryness. It also boasts anti-inflammatory and healing properties, assisting your skin to naturally heal cuts & scrapes.
SWEET ALMOND OIL - This oil is highly emollient, which means it helps to balance the absorption of moisture and water loss.Its concentration of vitamin E can also help to heal sun damage, reduce the signs of aging, and fade scars.
BEESWAX - This is to help to create a protective layer on the skin, locking in moisture. It is also a natural exfoliator, ideal for sloughing away dead skin cells.

The hand salve is currently offered in three varieties.

ODIN - Cedarwood, Cypress, and Pine essential oils
HEIMDALL - Cinnamon, Clove, Eucalyptus, Lemon, and Rosemary essential oils.
LOKI - Geranium, Lavender, Lemon, Orange, and Sandalwood essential oils.

What happens when you're the sole creator and the whole household comes down with a case of the seasonal dose of cooties? The business advertising gets put on hold for two weeks. But now that we're back to 100% then we will be returning with the fury of the Æsir!

Tonight, I will be featuring the second AND third products in our Aesir Men's Care gift set. Our beard balm destined to tame the most unruly of beards imaginable & our hand salve that was created to soothe the skin of the strongest, roughest, hardest-working fists across the lands.

Each product is 2oz and comes in a slim, black aluminum tin to be easily toted around in your pocket or tossed into your car console when you're on the go. Check back in this evening around 8PM EST for more details!

The featured product of the day - our Aesir Beard Oil!

This (2oz) oil is a combination of three carrier oils mixed by hand.

Jojoba oil. Regarded by many as the closest oil to our skin’s own natural sebum. It is colorless, odorless, and helps to regulate the oil production of our skin to bring balance. It is also rich in vitamins and minerals, particularly Vitamin E.

Coconut oil. A well known moisturizer, this oil also brings anti-aging and antimicrobial properties. It helps to promote skin’s self healing capabilities and act as a natural sunscreen (SPF 4).

Sweet almond oil. This natural anti-inflammatory is considered to be a superb skin cleanser as it helps to exfoliate and lift away dead skin cells. It also carries hypoallergenic properties.

On top of our trio of carrier oils in each bottle, we have THREE variations to offer that each feature a different blend of 100% pure, undiluted essential oils.

Welcome to the Æsir Apothecary! I'm excited to announce that products are finally becoming available and we managed to get some inventory photos today. Please be patient with me while I figure out the back end of Etsy to get an official online shop going!

What is the Æsir Apothecary, you say? We are a small business based out of southern Indiana offering handmade personal care and wellness products. (All made individually by yours truly). I'm going to be introducing new products every couple weeks as we get started up. Our inventory currently includes beard oil, beard balm, hand creme (geared towards tough hands for our hard working folx), a variety of bath salt soaks, as well as personalized oil rollers. Next week, we will begin a series of natural shea butter soaps as well! Keep a look out for our posts giving more details about each product, including ingredients, sizes, varieties, and prices. On top of that, I will also be doing a giveaway at the end of this week for simply liking our page and sharing our product info.
