Say hello to Howard Reed, one of our incredible residents here at Paoli Health and Living!
Howard has a true passion for live music, and his upbeat spirit brings a joyful energy to our community. Since moving in, Howard has been enjoying the amazing food—as long as it’s cheese-free! His favorite drink? A classic and refreshing tomato juice.
Howard and his wife chose Paoli Health and Living because it was close to home, and we’re so glad they did! He shared how much he appreciates the wonderful staff, giving a special shoutout to Thian Shields, who “never shys away from anything and always jumps in to help.”

Manager Spotlight: Cassidy Hutsler, LPN & Assistant Director Nursing

From the moment she stepped into healthcare as a CNA at just 16 years old, Cassidy knew she had found her calling. She later worked as a pharmacy technician, gaining even more insight into patient care, before deciding to pursue nursing full-time. Fast forward to today — with 6 years as an LPN and now serving as our ADON, her journey has been nothing short of inspiring. Through every challenge, Cassidy has led with grace, strength, and a deep commitment to those in her care.
“Balancing nursing school while raising four daughters and working weekends at 33 Brick Street was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done — but I couldn’t have made it through without my husband, Matt. His support means everything.”
“I truly love being there for our residents. It’s not just about giving medication — it’s about sitting with them, listening, laughing, and becoming part of their story. That bond stays with you.”

Outside the facility, life doesn’t slow down for Cassidy — and she wouldn’t have it any other way! She’s a proud mom to four amazing daughters, all active in sports, and she spends much of her free time cheering from the sidelines or coaching for the Midwest Mudd Dawgs Travel Softball.

We’re incredibly lucky to have such a compassionate, driven, and dedicated leader guiding our care team. Thank you, Cassidy, for being the heart of what we do. 💙

Meet our incredible Director of Nursing, Jessica Parker!

With a heart for service and over 22 years of nursing experience, Jessica is a true leader, caregiver, and mentor in our community. She began her journey in healthcare as a CNA, and through her dedication and passion, worked her way into nursing leadership. Her career has been rooted in compassion and a calling to serve others.

✔️ Certified Director of Nursing (CDONA)
✔️ Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP)

Why She Loves What She Does:
“Caring for people is my passion, and I feel it is a blessing to get to do so for our aging population. To have the ability to make a positive impact on someone’s day is an honor. I chose to move into nursing management to have the opportunity to teach those new to long-term care how to care for our residents—so they make that positive impact daily and throughout their career.”

Outside of Work:
When she’s not leading the nursing team, Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband and adult children whenever they can all be together. She's also a fan of a good audiobook and loves relaxing with her dogs by her side.

🌟 Manager Spotlight: Eva Blevins Certified Dietary Manager 🌟

Meet one of our incredible team members who brings both heart and flavor to everything they do!

I’ve proudly been a Certified Dietary Manager with CarDon for almost 5 years. There are so many things I enjoy about my job — from cooking and keeping a clean, welcoming kitchen to caring for our amazing residents. What truly brings me joy is seeing a smile light up someone’s face because of a meal we’ve prepared. That moment reminds me why I do what I do. Our residents aren’t just people we serve — they’re family.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time at the racetrack with our crew — 2A, 7K, and more! I love to read, and most of all, I treasure spending time with our big, beautiful family. Between my husband Tim and me, we have 11 children, 35 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. We've been together for 15 years and recently tied the knot — a special milestone in our journey together.

At home, our two fur babies, Bailey and Bella, keep us laughing and on our toes!

Thank you for taking a moment to get to know me. I’m honored to be part of the CarDon family and to make a difference every day. 💙
