It all started back in the summer of 2013 on a day just like every other.
Colorado native, Aaron Rakin was the type of individual that some would say, "was always on the go." Whether it was simply spending quality time with his two kids, biking, golfing, or involved with non-profits around the community, Aaron was always busy with something.
One afternoon in July 2013, Aaron was out riding his motorcycle and was hit by a car when he was crossing an intersection, when a driver going 40mph ran a red light and proceeded to T-bone and run over Aaron and his motorcycle.
Aaron was rushed to the emergency room but before they could not get his injuries under control, he was pronounced dead for six and a half minutes.
Immediately the doctors at Swedish Medical Center started to perform open cardiac massage as they worked to manually massage his heart back to life with their own two hands.
Six and a half minutes later, Aaron was revived and “stabilized” but he would spend the next 28 days in a coma...
