A group of residents made their way to “The Wall That Heals” while it was on display in Nebraska. The Wall is a replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, DC. The Wall and the mobile Education Center have been brought to over 800 communities throughout our country by the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund.

This past Mother's Day, we honored some very special women in our memory care community with a delightful brunch. It was an opportunity to spend time with loved ones and enjoy the ease of a fully prepared meal that didn't require planning or cleanup. That's something every mom appreciates.

There's something about the pool that puts a smile on everyone's face. Two residents took to the water with Beth for a Gentle Aqua session at our Oasis Aquatic & Fitness Center. Getting the blood flowing while laughing with good company. This is resort-style living.

Our Lancaster and York communities were treated to a memorable performance by the very talented Mary Link of the Merrymakers. Music has a way of soothing the soul and we are so grateful for the artists who visit us each month. Thank you to Mary and the Dreamweaver Foundation for bringing such exceptional talent to our residents. The joy they share through music means the world to our community.

Our independent living community enjoyed an afternoon filled with "Comedy, Coffee & Crumbcake." Comedian Jeff Hanna made sure we spent our afternoon with laughter. Every day here brings a new opportunity to attend a different event, outing or group activity with your friends.

We partner with many local organizations to bring new experiences to our residents. The Nebraska Humane Society welcomed our group to their facility to interact with the animals and learn about their rescue efforts. We are grateful for the time they shared and the knowledge they brought to our community.

Creativity and beautiful art are found throughout our community. This is no surprise considering art classes are among the most popular activity choices for many of our residents. On this day we enjoyed a watercolor painting workshop. Layers of soft color blended to add depth and vibrancy to the projects. Thank you to Sarah for leading the class.

Our Men's Group, otherwise known as the Veterans Support Group, hosted a recent All Resident Meeting to provide information about and gather donations for the Moving Veterans Forward non-profit organization. The organizers of the 50 Mile March Veterans non-profit also attended, recognizing the group's commitment to attend this year's march. This will be the 6th consecutive march they have attended. The pride we feel for our Veteran neighbors and community members runs deep.
