This is my sister, Sheryl Garrett. Thirty seven years ago today, at the age of 26, she past from this world after a one year battle with breast cancer. There has not been a day that has past that I haven't thought of her, or had the opportunity to share her story with a patient to explain why I do what I do. She has been my inspiration to provide the kind of care that, hopefully, changed the story for other women struggling with this disease. I am now retiring and am so grateful for the privilege of working with so many amazing women on that journey over the last 20 years. Thank you. And God bless....

Augmenting protection during a global pandemic

Hoping everyone has found a way to cope with the coronavirus pandemic and wanted you to know what our office is doing to protect our patients. We have always sanitized the exam room after each visit but we are now also sanitizing the waiting area and any surface that gets touched daily. We screen our patients and ask that anyone with symptoms reschedule their visit. If you are due for a screening mammogram and are having no breast concerns, it is reasonable to postpone that study until we have a clearer picture of how to proceed. If you are having concerns and need to get a mammogram, please know that all medical facilities are taking extra precautions to keep you safe so please don't delay. Breast cancer does not care about this virus so we will continue to care for our patients in the safest way possible. We will all get through this together...
