Met with the wonderful Flex Grant Team! This group of EMS professionals are helping guide our agency over a five year period. This in person visit marks the end of the first year. Thank you to this team for listening, sharing, suggesting, and mentoring.

We appreciate your guidance and efforts to help the EMS system and it's leadership.
AJ Heightman, Editor JEMS California.
Jon Krohmer, MD, EM, EMS Physician Michigan.
John Todaro, BA, NRP, RN Florida.
Brian LaCroix, NRP, BS, FACPE Minnesota Cambridge Consulting Group.
Allison Burke, CCEMTP, EMS Programs Manager Michigan Center for Rural Health.

We had a great discussion, lunch, and photos. The results from our employee survey were available to the public. Our "Floridian" had to step out into the snow! LOL. The team will be back in June and August.

The Flex Grant team will be at the community center this Wednesday April 8th at 930am. You are welcome to attend and ask questions about the EMS system if you would like. Thank you.

Lakeshore Drive from M‑123 to Salt Point Road is now passable.

Please use caution, as blowing and drifting snow may still be present in some areas.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

03/17/2026

Please be advised that Lakeshore Drive from M‑123 to Salt Point is CLOSED due to heavy blowing and drifting snow. Drifts are currently 8–10 feet across the roadway in some areas. Our crews are working to get the road opened, but the high winds are not working in our favor at this time. We appreciate your patience and ask that you avoid this area until further notice for your safety.
