Plan ahead. At the end of the year or grace period, you may lose any money left over in your FSA. Check with your employer for details.
You can use a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) to pay for:
✅Eye exams
✅Glasses: pay for prescription glasses, including reading glasses, bifocals, and progressive
✅Contacts: pay for prescription contact lenses and cleaning solutions.
✅Sunglasses: You can use an FSA to pay for prescription sunglasses
✅Eye surgery: You can use an FSA to pay for eye surgeries that correct conditions like myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism. This includes surgeries like LASIK and PRK.
