Roman L. began his journey on May 7, 2018, as a Customer Service Representative in the Cardiology office. By the end of 2019, he transitioned to the Access Navigation department, continuing to support the cardiology team.

When the pandemic struck, Roman stepped up in countless ways — from working at the laundromat Valley established to keep linens clean, to assisting on the night shift at the hospital, and later providing staff with essential safety equipment via the Supply Department. “When COVID began, I assisted in various capacities … Valley really showed me the importance of teamwork and stepping in wherever you’re needed.”

A few months later, Roman returned to his department, expanding his responsibilities to scheduling for both cardiology and primary care lines and helping patients who had post-COVID symptoms on the Care After COVID line to get connected to the right specialists.

In October 2021, his commitment was recognized with a promotion to Supervisor of Access Navigation, a role he continues to hold with pride. To further grow as a leader, he joined the Leadership Academy — and this October marks his fourth anniversary in the supervisor role. “Valley has provided me with many opportunities for growth, and I am truly grateful for the connections I have made throughout the years.”
