Valley Hospital Auxiliary Wanaque Branch enjoyed a festive Holiday High Tea at the 'SocieTea' House in Wayne. All enjoyed the Queen's Tea selections, and fascinators added whimsy to the gathering.

Glitz and glamour was the order of the evening at VHA’s 77th annual Valley Ball held at Seasons. This black-tie event attracted more than 200 guests and raised over $200,000 thanks to our loyal and generous sponsors, donors and attendees. Our exclusive silent auction of a 1.9 carat diamond pendant, donated by a former Valley employee and member of the Franklin Lakes Branch, raised $4,000. All proceeds from the ball and the silent auction benefited the VHA’s $1.6 million pledge to support and enhance patient care and comfort in the treatment of cancer, pregnancy-induced hypertension and the Butterflies program for critically ill children.

The Midland Park Regional Branch hosted its 4th annual "Gals Just Wanna Have Fun" on November 14th but branded it with a new name this year ... "Gals-Part 4-The Fun Continues". 80 attendees enjoyed food, drink and a professional square dance/line dance caller who got everyone up and dancing! As usual, the Valley Chicks kicked off the evening dancing to "Red Neck Woman."

The Mahwah Branch of The Valley Hospital Auxiliary hosted a Military Bridge event on October 30th at the Apple Ridge Club House. Apps, Silent Auction, Dorr Prizes and some fun competition, leading to a play-off game! The start of a new tradition!

At their monthly Central Board meeting, the Valley Hospital Auxiliary presented a check of $300,000 to David Bohan (VP and Chief Philanthropy Officer) of the Valley Hospital Foundation. This money will go toward the Auxiliary's pledge to raise $1.6 million to support and enhance patient care and comfort in the treatment of cancer, pregnancy-induced hypertension and the Butterflies program for critically ill children.

The pledge covers four vital Valley Health System programs:

-Cool cap therapy for cancer patients reduces the likelihood of hair loss during chemotherapy

-Boutique for integrative healing at the Luckow Pavilion provides patients with services, wellness products, support and education as they undergo and/or recover from cancer treatment

-Pregnancy-induced Hypertension program endeavors to save the lives of pregnant and post-partum mothers with hypertensive disorders in pregnancy

-Butterflies endowment enhances palliative and hospice care to children with life-threatening conditions and their families
