Stop buying supplements that do nothing. đźš«

If your product doesn't have a clinically meaningful dose, you're wasting your money.

Take creatine — research shows you need 5–15g to actually see results. If your supplement only has 1g? It's doing absolutely nothing for you.

Always check the label. Dose matters just as much as the ingredient itself.

Most women have been completely misled about what “strength training” actually means—and it’s costing them their health.

If you’re still reaching for 3–5 lb dumbbells and calling it “weightlifting,” that’s not strength training. That’s movement. There’s a difference.

Real strength training—the kind that actually changes your metabolism, your hormones, your bone density, and your long-term health—requires load.

I’m talking about lifting heavy. For many women, that means working up to 100+ lbs for lower body movements like squats, deadlifts, and leg press.

Here’s the truth most people won’t say:
👉 Muscle is your metabolic currency.
👉 If you’re not building it, you’re losing it—especially in perimenopause and menopause.
👉 Light weights will not preserve muscle. They will not prevent bone loss. They will not optimize insulin sensitivity.

And that matters, because the downstream consequences are real:
Increased visceral fat
Insulin resistance and prediabetes
Osteopenia → osteoporosis
Loss of independence as you age

Strength is not optional. It’s protective.

Now—this doesn’t mean you walk into a gym tomorrow and throw 100 lbs on a bar.

It means:
You train with progressive overload
You aim for muscle fatigue within 6–12 reps
You prioritize compound lifts (squats, deadlifts, presses, rows)
And yes—you get uncomfortable
Because that’s where the adaptation happens.
If your workout feels easy, your body has no reason to change.

We are not training to “tone.”
We are training to build muscle, protect bone, and extend healthspan.
Start where you are. But stop underestimating what your body is capable of.
Because the goal isn’t to stay small.
The goal is to stay strong.

If you've been wondering how much weight you can actually lose on a GLP-1 medication, the answer isn't one-size-fits-all (because nothing in women's health ever is).

Here's what the science shows:
+ Semaglutide → ~8–10% body weight loss
+ Tirzepatide (Zepbound) → up to 22% body weight loss

For a 200-pound woman, that's the difference between losing 16 lbs vs. 44 lbs. That's not a small gap — that's a completely different outcome.

The medication matters. The dosing matters. Your biology matters.

This is exactly why I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to your health. You deserve a plan that's built around you — not a generic protocol handed out in a 5-minute appointment.

If you're curious whether a GLP-1 could be part of your personalized health plan, let's talk.

Your career is worth protecting.

Menopause costs the workplace 1.8 billion dollars in lost productivity, but here's what matters more — it's costing you. Brain fog, missed days, struggling to focus, abnormal bleeding that derails your entire week. These aren't just inconveniences, they're threats to your financial sovereignty and your ability to thrive at work.

The good news? These symptoms are correctable. You don't have to suffer through them or watch your job performance slip away. Seek treatment now and reclaim control of your health, your paycheck, and your life. You deserve to show up as your best self, not just survive the day.

Here’s what two decades of working with women has taught me: the medical system was not built with you in mind. Five-minute appointments. One-size-fits-all answers. And you — somewhere at the bottom of your own to-do list.

It doesn’t have to be that way.

Your health is not a luxury. Your wealth is not a dream. And you are not too busy, too old, or too far gone to reclaim both. The only thing standing between you and your healthiest, wealthiest, wisest self — is the right information and the right partner. I’m here. Let’s go.

Most people regain ⅔ of their weight after stopping GLP-1s — here's what actually changes that outcome.

Used correctly, GLP-1s buy you time to build the habits that make the weight loss stick — high protein, high fiber, quality sleep, and strength training to boost your metabolism.

Without those foundations? No drug in the world fills that gap.

The goal isn't to be on it forever. The goal is to not need it forever.

The conversation around women's health is changing — and I'm proud to be part of it.

I'm beyond excited to share that I'll be speaking at AROC 2026 at the Hard Rock Atlantic City, May 13–16.

Here's where you'll find me:

+ Wednesday, May 13th | 4:30–5:30pm
Lecture: The Hormone Therapy Comeback: What the Evidence Actually Shows

For too long, fear and misinformation have kept women from accessing care that could genuinely transform their quality of life. I'm breaking down the real science — what the data tells us, what we got wrong, and why it's time to revisit the conversation on HRT with fresh eyes and clear evidence.

+ Wednesday, May 13th | 6:30–6:45pm
Panel Discussion on Menopause

I'll be joined by the incredible Assemblywoman Heather Simmons and the brilliant Dr. Betsy Greenleaf for a candid, powerful conversation about menopause — because women deserve more than a pat on the back and a prescription for antidepressants.

+ Thursday, May 14th | 10:30am–12:30pm
Woman2Woman Panel

We're talking HRT, alternatives for patients who can't use hormones, the realities of work-life balance for women in medicine, the gender inequalities baked into our healthcare system, and the business of medicine.

And don't miss Dr. Peter Marta on May 14th for his talk on Man2Man Health Topics: Myths and Misconceptions in Testosterone Replacement Therapy.

This is the kind of medicine I live for — honest, evidence-based, and centered on women. If you're attending AROC, come find me. If you're not registered yet, there's still time.

🗓 May 13–16, 2026 | Hard Rock Atlantic City

Skipping meals on a GLP-1 isn't discipline — it's a fast track to dizziness, fatigue, and muscle loss.

Here's what you actually need to know to feel your best on these medications:
âś… Eat small meals frequently throughout the day
✅ Stay on top of hydration — your body needs it more than ever
âś… Prioritize fiber and protein over ultra-processed foods
❌ Don't skip meals or drinks just because you're not hungry
❌ Avoid alcohol — it spikes blood sugar and worsens side effects
❌ Don't eat too fast or too much at once — nausea will hit

GLP-1s slow down gastric emptying, which means your body plays by completely different rules now. Being intentional is everything.

Still reflecting on an incredible evening at the Annual Zimele Gala a few weeks ago.

Zimele works to break the cycle of poverty in rural South Africa by equipping women with business skills, financial education, and leadership training.

Empowered women change families, communities, and generations.

So grateful to have been part of this night and so inspired by the work they continue to do.

There are a few foods I always recommend my patients try to limit during menopause — because they can make your symptoms worse.

The three big ones?
🍬 Sugar — whether it's from direct sugar or flour-based products, it increases your risk of weight gain, insulin resistance, and diabetes.
🍷 Alcohol — disrupts sleep and triggers more hot flashes and night sweats.
🌶️ Spicy foods — same thing, they'll make symptoms flare.

Small swaps can make a big difference in how you feel during this season of life.

Have you noticed any of these affecting your symptoms?

"No one told me perimenopause could start at 35."

If you're in your mid-thirties and something feels off — mood shifts, sleep changes, irregular cycles — this might be why.

Perimenopause doesn't wait until your 50s. It can start as early as your mid-30s, and by your 40s, progesterone decline is essentially guaranteed. The transition can last anywhere from 4 to 10 years depending on your ethnicity and health history.

The earlier you know, the more empowered you are.
