What Is Energy Medicine?

As an energy medicine practitioner for over 5 years now, I'm often asked, "What exactly IS energy medicine?"

From my perspective, everything is energy ... therefore, anything that facilitates healing is energy medicine.

'Everything is energy.' Atoms in motion create energy, and everything is comprised of atoms. Our physical bodies are energy - because the atoms of our bodies are more closely packed together and are moving more slowly, the body presents as physical.

Because we are (w)holistic beings - with physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual/energetic aspects, among others - when healing is done on one aspect of a person, it affects every other aspect. For example, let's say you suffer depression with corresponding physical pain that presents as aching joints. You can address the depression itself, which mitigates the pain, or you can address the aching joints, which positively impacts the depression.

I use many different forms of energy medicine to assist my clients in their healing journeys, from hands-on energy healing (Healing Touch, Reiki, etc), Earth medicine (crystals), holy oils, sound, sacred geometry, EFT/Tapping, and various embodiment practices, to meditation, affirmations, visualization, breathwork, mirror work, journaling, and so much more. Which technique is utilized at what time is a unique, individual determination, made in collaboration with my client.

We are complicated and magical beings, with myriad ways to address those parts of us that we'd like to heal or integrate. And there are thousands of practitioners out there offering hundreds of techniques. There is, without doubt, someone providing something that will be just what you need - the perfect practitioner, with the perfect technique, at the perfect time.

All you need to do is set the intention and take the first step. What's the saying? Take one step towards God and He will take a hundred steps towards you. Take one inspired action towards your desired outcome, and the Universe/God/Source/Creation will guide you to the next step, and the next, and so on.

My breakfast yesterday. Steel cut oats, real maple syrup, brown sugar, blueberries and raisins. My breakfast today, yogurt, blueberries, collagen peptides, flax seed, maca root, and granola. (Also those aren't stains on my carpet, just reflections on my glass coffee table 😂)
