Emerging research suggests that cognitive decline is strongly linked to insulin resistance, inflammation, and vascular health — the same biological pathways affected by diet quality.

In a prospective study from Rush University Medical Center, individuals who followed a brain-protective dietary pattern called the 𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐃 diet, had up to a 𝟱𝟯% lower risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease, with significantly slower cognitive decline over time.

The protective effect was not tied to avoiding a single food — it was driven by overall diet quality and metabolic function.

Dietary patterns associated with better cognitive outcomes emphasize:

• Whole, minimally processed foods
• Omega-3 fatty acids
• Polyphenol-rich plants
• Healthy fats
• Stable glucose metabolism

The fear around hormone replacement therapy started after a 2002 study called the Women’s Health Initiative.

But here’s what most people don’t know:

That study used:
• Synthetic hormones (not bioidentical)
