Admit it, we've all wanted to know what the inside of a helicopter, ambulance, and a firetruck looked like. But isn't it also true the preferred reasons would be for educational instead of medical ones? During Physician Assistant Day being held by Bethel University's Paris campus, this Saturday will offer you that very opportunity. What a stroke of luck for all of us right?

For just $5 you can experience these first responder transports and more. Listen to your heart beat, make your own slime, and help us out too!! We are grateful the Bethel University College of Health Sciences has chosen us to be the recipients of their efforts to connect with the community. Should you ever need the services they provide, we hope an experience like this coming Saturday will give you peace that you are in trusted hands. The money raised by their efforts will go toward us reaching our matching gift goal of $50k by Christmas! So go be a Jr. Physician Assistant for the day and help ABLE Farms too!

Ms. Brianna Arko, PACO 2026, from Chagrin Falls, Ohio was chosen to present a poster at the Annual Poster Session at FallFest. Posters are displayed Monday through Wednesday, and authors are present to talk about and answer questions regarding their work during on Tuesday AM. The Poster Session gives PAs and PA students the opportunity to present their research to their colleagues.
Ms. Arkos research is: “Metabolic Syndrome Related Cancer Mortality in the US, Social Vulnerability Index and Socioeconomic Trends”
She took this opportunity to complete her capstone project for an MSCE from Kent State (her degree will be conferred in Dec., 2024).
Her undergraduate degree from is also from Kent State with a double major Biology and Chemistry.

At FallFest one of the many things students participated in, was workshops to practice suturing, joint injections and point of care ultrasound.

While at FallFest, Ngan Nguyen and Rose Enisor of PACO 2026 were each awarded a $1,000 J.C Carey Memorial Scholarship. The Tennessee Physician Assistant Foundation awards the scholarships to PA students each year in memory of PA J.C. Carey.
“He was much loved by his friends and PA colleagues for his strength of character, clinical competence, and endless compassion. He provided tirelessly for the medical and mental health needs of his rural community, and he believed in truly being a part of the community and knowing his patients on a personal level. He passed that knowledge on to his students by presenting real life situations that the student could confront in the safety of the classroom with his guidance and sense of humor leading the way. J.C. was an institution in TAPA and the PA profession. He sat in his same seat at every conference, worked to gain prescriptive privileges for PAs in Tennessee, and showed the world what a PA should and could be.”
PA Carey was instrumental in the formation of Bethel’s PA program. He was a devoted and loved faculty member until his passing.

PACO 2026 is in Gatlinburg this week for the Tennessee Academy of PA’s (TAPA) FallFest.
Their class’ Challenge Bowl Team competed against other TN PA Programs’ teams Monday night.
𝐈𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐟𝐮𝐧 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐁𝐔’𝐬 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐰𝐢𝐧!!!! The entire class was there to cheer the team on!
Team members are Jeremy Lamonte, JoAnne Grimes, Jay Foster, alt. Sergey Kletsov and faculty advisor Patrick Brown, PA-C.

The Class of 2026 learned today the importance of a sterile field in surgery. Obviously, the first picture they have maintained, for the most part, a sterile field. The second picture they decided they had been in that field too long. You have to have some fun or your head will explode! 😂
