Every year, over one million Americans have a coronary event or undergo a cardiac-related procedure. We are so proud to celebrate and bring attention to cardiac rehab.
Our amazing Cardiac Rehab team is comprised of: Regan Smith, RN II, Jessica Thompson, RN BSN II and Jackie Luffman, RN BSN II. Christie Glass, RN II is also a member of this unit. They are flanked by Forrest Banks, Regional HR BP, and Cheryl Owen, Sr. HR Assistant who presented them with recognition for the week and a job well done!

Josie Wheat, MS, RD, LDN, and Clinical Dietitian at WTH-Henry County Hospital, reminds us to think "heart healthy" when we plan our meals. Josie shared these easy tips:
Tip #1: Include fruits and/or vegetables with most meals!
Tip #2: Prioritize fiber! It is a wonderful sidekick for heart health.
Tip #3: Don't discount exercise. Even walking is highly beneficial.
