Bourbon County’s very own Ruben Turner!
When Ruben first arrived at Bourbon Heights for short-term rehabilitation after a hip fracture, everyday tasks that once felt simple had become challenging. With determination and a positive attitude, he got to work right away with our therapy team.
Day by day, Ruben showed up ready to put in the effort. From practicing safe transfers and strengthening exercises to improving walking and daily self-care tasks, each therapy session brought new progress. Even on the tough days, he stayed motivated and focused on the goal of getting back home.
Through hard work, perseverance, and the support of our HTS physical and occupational therapy team along with our nursing staff, Ruben continued to gain strength, confidence, and independence.
Today we are excited to celebrate a big milestone — Ruben is returning home! 🏡
