Who knew that Mental Health Professionals could be so scary (and fun)!!!

A huge thank you to Dr. Michelle D. Chapman for once again convincing folks to stand for hours in a window at the amazing Spangler's Paris! We know it takes a lot of effort, but she manages to convince an awesome group (many of whom are mental health professionals) every year! And of course, Dr. Jill Awtrey's tireless work on Mannequin Night in Paris, TX year after year! We love our community! :-)

PS - We also want to say that we LOVED seeing all the other mannequins! But we especially loved the guys at Rigby's Ci**rs & Lounge beside us, and Frankenstein and his bride over at Zamora Insurance Agency. Great job to all!

The Counseling & Psychology Professionals team is on a roll! It doesn't seem like that long ago that we introduced Marla Anderson, LPC and Mark Falkenstine, LPC - both exceptional counselors who joined our team and hit the ground running. We now have two more folks ready and excited to serve the community: meet Savannah Wood and Kerry Adamek.

Savannah Wood, LPC, sees clients at both the Counseling Office at 737 Lamar Ave and also the Psychology Office at 3605 Loop 286. She’s also taking appointments for telehealth, and is willing to see patients after 5pm and on Saturdays! And as if that isn’t enough, Savannah is also currently receiving training as an adult and pediatric psychometrist, and working closely with our team of psychologists. Savannah brings extensive experience with her and has worked with clients ranging from age three and up. She has worked in a variety of settings including inpatient, outpatient, and community mental health.

Kerry Adamek, LPC-S, ASOTP is a current Doctor of Psychology candidate, and works side-by-side with our psychology team performing psychological and neuropsychological evaluations. Kerry has extensive experience as a professional counselor, which puts him ahead of the curve when it comes to training in psychological evaluation. He has worked closely with the juvenile probation departments in the area for a number of years. Kerry received his master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Texas A&M Texarkana, and also holds a second master’s degree in divinity from Southwestern Seminary in Forth Worth. He’s on track to complete his Psy.D. at the conclusion of his dissertation.
