As Veterans Day comes to an end, we want to share one more story from one of our amazing Veteran patients.

He was drafted into the U.S. Army, originally planning to join with a friend — but when his friend couldn’t enlist due to a medical reason, he went on to serve our country on his own.

During his two years in the Army, he worked with helicopters, stationed in Czechoslovakia and Germany. One of his most memorable experiences was surviving a helicopter crash — a moment that left a lasting impression on his life and faith.

When asked what most people don’t realize about the military, he said it’s the discipline it teaches — something that shaped him long after his service ended.

We’re grateful to have him as part of our Xzact family and thankful for his service, sacrifice, and strength.

As we continue to honor our Veterans, we’re proud to share the story of another one of our incredible patients.

He served in the United States Army as an 11D R6 for four years, deploying to Germany during his time in service.

He joined the Army after a friend encouraged him — and a few of his buddies — to take the leap together. That decision would change his life and shape how he sees the world today.

When asked what he wishes more people understood about the military, he said:

“Freedom isn’t free. America truly is the greatest nation in the world. When people travel, they often see only one side — but if they really experienced other countries, they’d see how much freedom we have, and how different life and culture can be.”

His words are a powerful reminder of the value of service and the blessings we often take for granted.

⚓ This Veterans Day, we’re honored to highlight one of our patients who proudly served in the United States Navy.

He joined the Navy during the time of Vietnam, driven by a sense of duty and purpose.

Serving 2½ years, he was stationed in Japan, where his favorite memories come from the bond he shared with his fellow servicemen.

Reflecting on his time in uniform, he shared that “in the military, you learn to get along with everyone,” and that “military life teaches you to do what you’re told” — lessons that have stayed with him ever since.

We are grateful for his service, his wisdom, and his example of unity and discipline. It’s an honor to serve him now at Xzact Therapy & Aquatics.

🇺🇸 This Veterans Day, we’re honored to recognize one of our incredible patients who proudly served in the United States Army.

He served 5 and a half years as an Infantryman, joining the Army with a simple goal — to get out of Paris, Texas, and make something more of himself.

His journey took him from Korea to Iraq, where he courageously served our nation and was injured in the line of duty.

Today, we’re proud to walk beside him on his continued path of strength and recovery here at Xzact Therapy & Aquatics.

Thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and your example of resilience. We are truly honored to be part of your story.

Angie Lleshi, PTA
Angie Lleshi (on the left) earned her Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Amarillo College. She’s always had a love for fitness and a desire to help others, which led her to find her calling in physical therapy. Angie is one of the two main Aquatic Therapists here at Xzact Therapy and Aquatics, where she helps patients recover and build strength through personalized aquatic programs.

Outside of work, she loves watching football with her husband, getting creative with crafts, and adding to her growing collection of Snoopy items from Peanuts.
