FOOD & ACNE (full post on my website linked in bio)
If you know me then you know I believe my diet and cystic hormonal acne go hand in hand (along with a solid skincare regimen). I’ve tried pretty much every topical / oral acne medication there is (omitting accutane). One thing my Dr never talked to me about was diet. Through my own research and self experimenting I’ve conducted a list of foods that I believe have triggered my acne, and foods that helped tame the flame.
If you feel this resonates with you then checkout my blog post discussing the top foods that encourage hormonal acne vs the powerhouse foods to keep a healthy balance!

My balsamic portobellos are so versatile! (Made in under 10min) This time I just threw some pepper jack over my seasoned shrooms, along with halved cherry tomatoes and parsley. I enjoyed this with a side of avocado with balsamic glaze. Filling yet super light!

🌱 Sausage & Peppas
These tasted soooo authentic it was almost unsettling...but they were so delicious I dogged down THREE!
The only difference between my vegan version and traditional s&p is the lack of weird chewy/crunchy pieces of meat 😖 (definitely don’t miss that).
Ingredients
• Italian “sausage”
• bell pepper and yellow onions, sautéd with salt, pepper, and garlic powder
• warmed up Almond Flower Tortillas (not chewy, don’t fall apart. I give em a 7.8/10) no rookie scores here.

How to utilize your left overs! I pretty much ditched the bread from my previous post (the portobello sandwich) and added in some broccoli. In turn, I got a wholesome meal after a long day, ft my favorite IPA! (Yea, I’m a rhymer).
Now time for some meditation. How do you treat yourself after a long day?

Shroom sandwich anyone?🍄
When in doubt Portobello it out! Such a quick and delicious meal. I normally marinate them and throw them on the grill but tonight I threw them in a pan and they were extra juicy!
Sandwich:
•lightly toasted whole grain bread
•hummus spread on one half, vegan mayo on the othe
•mixed greens
•seasoned shroom
•roasted peppers
To season the 🍄 I use:
•oil
•balsamic
•garlic
•salt
•paprika
•oregano

•add corn and beans
•cook for about 2 more min, add more seasoning.

Happy Cinco De Mayo! I used my left over “pulled pork” from last night and whipped up some sautéed onions, peppers, yellow squash, and zucchini. Topped with “sour cream”, avocado, and my favorite..
To drink (not the best pic, I know), I made us all tequila mojitos. Sooo refreshing🌱

Hey guys! I’m Briana, the face of Nomadik Health. Just figured I’d hop on and reintroduce myself with a brief summary of my story.

Everyone has their reason for going plant-based. Personally, I made the change for my health. I’ve struggled with PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) and cystic acne for years. I’ve now been vegan for 14months. Within those 14months, I ditched my medications and I’ve almost completely reversed my PCOS, my acne improved immensely, as did my confidence.

I’m Italian and German, so when it comes to food..flavor MATTERS. I’ve grown such a passion for getting creative with my vegan recipes. Another passion of mine is the outdoors. So I figured, why not collaborate my two favorite things?!

Friends and family have always been curious as to how I maintain my vegan diet while living on the road...and that’s when Nomadik Health was born. The platform for tips and recipes on how to maintain your vegan lifestyle while living nomadically.

Hello my quarantined vegans, times are tough. With limiting our trips to the grocery store it’s smart to stock up on non-perishables.

Ik sometimes vegan canned foods can be a little off-putting. So I’ve constructed a list of my favorite vegan non-perishable foods along with recipes to turn these non-perishables into a satisfying wholesome meal.

Visit nomadikhealth.com linked in bio for the full scoop on how to limit your time in the supermarket with these recipes.
