Why we make you wait between those heavy lifts ๐Ÿ‹๏ธโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ’ช

You know that moment when we say โ€œrest for 2-3 minutesโ€ and youโ€™re like โ€œbut I feel fine!โ€ ๐Ÿ™„

Hereโ€™s the deal: Your muscles need that time to recharge their energy systems (hello, ATP!) so you can actually lift heavy on your next set. Without proper rest, youโ€™re basically trying to deadlift with a phone at 5% battery ๐Ÿ“ฑ๐Ÿ’€

What happens when you rest:
โœจ Your muscles restore their power
โœจ Your heart rate comes down
โœจ You can maintain proper form (goodbye, injury risk!)
โœจ You actually get stronger instead of just really tired

Most of us move our spine like one big rigid block (hello, getting out of bed like a robot ๐Ÿค–). But in Pilates, we practice spinal articulation - moving through each vertebra one at a time.

It's like the difference between bending a stick vs. moving like a slinky!

Why your spine is obsessed with this:
โœจ Keeps those joints happy and lubricated
โœจ Prevents that "stuck" feeling in your back

From courtroom to reformer room - Megan's journey began when she spontaneously took a Pilates class during her lunch break as a lawyer. One hour changed EVERYTHING!

Megan joins us from Farmington after relocating to Heber last fall with her family. Since becoming certified through Club Pilates in 2018, she's been helping others connect with their bodies through mindful movement (pandemic pause aside!).
