Impact - It's Time To Tell People They Matter Just a group of people that believe we need to say nice things to each other and give you tools to do it.

Far too often people don't hear about the IMPACT they've had on the lives of those around them. Things typically aren't said until the funeral. We want to change that by giving you a way to collect notes and memories for your loved ones. We'll put them all together in a beautiful keepsake book for you to surprise some of your favorite people, and tell them just how much they mean to you.

Janelle and her family surprised her mom with an IMPACT book®. She thought it was just a gift from her family… until Janelle shared that 47 people had contributed and answered the questions for her.

Those three questions that seem to summarize so much. All of the contributors had answered: “What is your favorite memory with Joyce?” “How has Joyce impacted your life?” and “How has Joyce helped you?”

Every page was another reminder of the lives she’s touched—friends, coworkers, family, people she hadn’t seen in years. You can see the moment it hits her: “I matter to all of these people.”

Janelle has now created 5 IMPACT books for people she loves because she believes everyone deserves to read words like this at least once in their lifetime. I couldn’t agree more.

Imagine opening a book and finding out this is how people see you. 🥹

These are real lines from Hannah’s IMPACT book®—things the people in her life actually sat down and wrote to her. What I love most is how the same themes show up again and again in different words. When you see the same things repeated, you realize: oh… this really is who I am to them.

That’s what happens inside an IMPACT book®: their character shines through in story after story until it’s hard to brush it off or downplay it anymore.

In 2022, Brittney lost her best friend to cancer. For Christmas in 2023 her son, Zaiden, gave her an IMPACT book®️. He told me he wanted to make sure that Amity was a part of it, so he went through his mom’s text messages and pulled out things Amity had said and used them to answer the three questions for the book. 😭

When Brittney opened her book, she wasn’t just reading what her people had written about her. She was hearing Amity’s words again. In the middle of missing her best friend, she got to see in black and white the ways she’s still loved, still seen, still making an impact.

We can’t fix grief. But we can surround people with stories, memories, and words that hold them up when everything hurts. That’s why the IMPACT book® exists.

TW: su***de || The idea of the IMPACT book®️ was born from a conversation I (Jenny) had with my husband, Joel, when he was in a really dark place mentally. He had told me he didn’t think he was doing anything that made an impact on the world. (Which was crazy to me because he was not only a husband and new father, but a pastor, youth pastor, YoungLife leader, soccer coach… you name it… he was doing it.)

I reached out to everyone I could think of and asked them three questions: What is your favorite memory with Joel? How has Joel impacted your life? How has Joel helped you? I got SO many incredible replies! I put them all in a book and gave it to him for his birthday. He looked at me with tears in his eyes as he read it, and told me he had no idea.

A couple of years later, we were pulling up to a funeral for a friend of my husband’s who had taken his own life. The parking lot was PACKED and cars lined the street. I looked at my husband and said, “He had NO idea this many people cared…”

After that, it became my mission to help people know they matter. I realized I could make the IMPACT book something that anyone could make for another person, so I set out to make that happen. In 2017, I officially launched IMPACT book, LLC. We’ve been making books for people ever since.
