Last week was full of activities as we celebrated Life Enrichment Week. The theme was "Beyond The Ordinary: Everyday Superhero's". Our Life Enrichment team received matching shirts and little gifts throughout the week, such as the soup mix. We had a couple of everyday super hero's come in and talk to us about their jobs-a sheriff's deputy and a retired fire fighter. We ended the week with having a Superhero Poker Walk with staff and residents participating togerher. The winning team won ten dollars for the staff member and ten dollars for their resident. It is a week we won't soon forget!

We are so lucky to get to go on outings in the community. One that we have enjoyed for some years is the Santa Truck. This year was the last year the Santa Truck was happening, and we almost didn't get to see it because of the weather. Lucky for us, we were able to see it in Menahga! Even got a picture of the bus driver with the Grinch this year. Thanks to the Melander's and their crew for going above and beyond for us. We are going to miss the Santa Truck.

Christmas time is so special at Heritage Community. We love when different groups come to sing Christmas carols to us. The Park Rapids High School choir came and sang for us. It was extra special that they had lights for not just themselves, but also the residents to hold while we sang silent night. Thanks Sarah for bringing your students and doing this!

We took some more people out to see the lights this week. It was a little colder, so we had some blankets to help stay warm on the bus. We saw so many beautiful displays of lights and had lots of laughter. The trolls weren't lit up, but thanks Chuck for turning them on for us!
