Many have heard the question posed what came first, the chicken or the egg? But how does that concept apply to depression? It’s well-known that when we’re depressed, our motivation and interest in maintaining a healthy and balanced diet subsides in the same way our energy does. Harvard Medical Students positioned that same question in relation to depression; what came first, depression or a poor diet? https://parkridgewellness.com/foods-to-eat-to-help-depression/ -2830

We’re confident that you’ve heard of acupuncture, but do you know where it comes from?

The study and practice of acupuncture and acupressure have been used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for thousands of years and is an ancient healing technique. Acupressure and acupuncture apply the same principles, but acupressure uses pressure points instead of needles to achieve the desired results...

Why do some people always catch a cold, and others don’t?

Viruses, germs, and bacteria are everywhere. They are in the food we eat, the air we breathe and the water we drink, but not all of them are bad or harmful.

Why do some people always catch a cold, and others don’t? Viruses, germs, and bacteria are everywhere. They are in the food we eat, the air we breathe and

Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is a system that seems quite foreign to many in the Western world. However, this medical system has been around for over 3,500 years, in comparison to the Western medical system, which has been around since the 19th century. One of the concepts of TCM is that of the meridian or energetic pathways. This article will explore this concept a little more deeply...

As many of you know we closed our office for 3 weeks due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This week we started seeing a few patients.

We completely understand that in these uncertain times that many will be taking life day-by-day.

For the month of May, we will maintain our office at 50% capacity, meaning we are limiting patient visits each week.

Here is what we are doing to keep our patients safe:

• We are following strict PPE guidelines and wearing hospital-grade masks.

• We will be performing deep sanitizing before, after, and in between patient visits.

• We request that ALL patients wear masks.

• Only one person at a time will be allowed to visit our front desk area so we can help keep everyone safe.

•If you have an appointment scheduled in the near future and need to change, please call so that we can assist you with rescheduling.

If you have an appointment scheduled, we look forward to seeing you soon!

Please contact us if you have any further questions, through email or phone.

We do have some openings over the next few weeks for those who are looking to start or continue treatment.

Customized and personnel care is always what you can expect and right now your overall health and safety is our absolute highest priority!

History and experience prove that Traditional Chinese Medicine is effective against epidemic diseases.

In the fight against the pandemic of pneumonia from 2019-nCoV Novel Coronavirus infection, Hubei Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine diligently used the specialties of TCM, in cooperation with relevant departments to study and formulate pneumonia prevention and treatment programs revealing that Chinese herbs played a definitive role in positive treatment outcomes. Chinese herbal formulas harbor the unique potential to reduce fever and cough symptoms, limit disease progression, and improve overall immunity, and thus a person’s ability to mount an essential immune response to the virus.

In Chinese history, whenever a plague is rampant, Chinese medicine practitioners are always on the front lines to battle the disease. Many survived with the help of Chinese Medicine; so in this fight with the insidious and novel Coronavirus, Chinese Medicine once again should take a primary role in effective treatment.
